About the songs AstroTurf Dreams and The Orange Clown have completely original lyrics. I wrote them during the 2020 to 2022 lockdowns while experimenting with double and triple rhymes.

The two Hamraz tracks are excerpts from songs in the 2002 thriller Humraaz, with some of the original lyrics rewritten.

Teaching an AI to sing in Hindi There was no manual for this. I had to figure it out myself.

AI music generators are trained mostly on English, and they don't read words the way people do. They predict sounds based on patterns in their training data rather than real language rules. So Hindi lyrics typed out normally come back mangled, with wrong vowels, wrong stress, and rhythms that fall apart.

The fix was phonetic spelling: writing each word the way an English speaker would sound it out, so the model had no choice but to say it right. That meant getting pretty creative with my English. The same trick also controls the performance:

• Respelling fixes pronunciation. If the AI says a word wrong, you write it the way it should sound.
• Hyphens change the rhythm. Writing "buh-buh-baby" forces a stutter.
• Stretched vowels hold notes. Writing "noooo" or "looove" makes the singer sustain the note longer.
• Phonetic approximations bridge languages. They help an English-trained model hit accents and inflections it would otherwise miss.

How to play

• Click or drag the progress bar to jump around in a song. On a keyboard, the arrow keys on the bar skip 5 seconds.
• Slow and Fast change how fast the grid rolls. They never change the music.
• Best in fullscreen with headphones. On iPhone, make sure the silent switch is off.

The whole thing is one self-contained file built with Claude 5.5 that used CSS, SVG and a little JavaScript. No install, no account, no ads.
